What will you do as Software Test Engineer - Embedded?
At Lightyear, we are hiring engineers to contribute to the quality of our embedded software of the Lightyear One. Being part of a multidisciplinary engineering team you will collaborate in the verification of the Lightyear One requirements and implementing a better testing infrastructure. Your job will focus on but not be limited to:

  • Be involved in component testing and system testing.

  • Be responsible for the integration tests for both SIL and HIL testing.
  • Analyze Application Requirements and Design Documents.
  • Design test cases and create test plans.
  • Contribute in ideas on a range of test automation issues to help the team switch to automated testing.
  • Execute Tests and analyze / document results related to multiple systems inside the Energy, Data & Powertrain team.
  • Create incident reports for the System Architect (SA) on bugs and issues found under test.

What do we expect from a Software Test Engineer - Embedded at Lightyear?

Of course problem solving and debugging skills are your expertise. We are looking for a proactive, passionate and inventive team player. Furthermore our dream candidate is someone with:

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Automotive, Electronics, Computer Science or similar

  • Experience in UI and mobile app software testing (minimum of 2-3 years of test experience)

  • Knowledge of embedded software design processes (according the V-cycle)

  • Experience in test automation
  • Sufficient Basic Python programming skills
  • Experience in the field of software development C++ and/or C# is a plus
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban
  • Understanding of Matlab/Simulink
  • Experience with Vector CANoe is a plus
  • Knowledge of test techniques ( ISTQB Foundation or TMap Next Test Engineer certification is a plus );
  • Automotive experience is a big plus
  • Knowledge of model-based design techniques is preferred
