The Role
We are looking for a hands-on, proactive Marketing Specialist to join our Sales & Marketing team. You will connect Lightyear’s technology with the market through market insights, communication, events, and business development support.
What Success Looks Like: You generate high-quality leads, strengthen our market position, and drive measurable impact through events and communication, directly contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Shape Our Industry Presence
Plan and execute our participation in automotive events, trade shows, and conferences. You’ll manage logistics and messaging, build relationships with partners and media, and turn visibility into strong lead generation.
Turn Insights into Impact
Stay ahead of trends in electrification and sustainability by analyzing the market, competitors, and customer needs. You will translate these insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
Create Compelling Communication
Develop and execute communication plans across press, social media, and web. You’ll turn technical concepts into clear, engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences.
Drive Growth with Sales
Partner closely with Sales to identify opportunities, support lead generation and conversion, and ensure a strong customer-centric approach.
Use Data to Optimize Performance
Leverage CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to track leads and campaigns, using data and insights to continuously improve marketing effectiveness.
Own and Deliver
Take full ownership of projects from concept to execution in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, always looking for ways to improve and raise the bar.
About you
You’re proactive, hands-on, and driven by results. You combine strong organizational and analytical skills with a talent for clear communication and storytelling. You’re customer-focused, business-minded, and thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
What You Bring
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
2–5 years of experience in marketing (automotive or tech is a plus)
Experience with content creation, campaigns, and communication
Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus)
Nice to Have
Experience with digital marketing (SEO/SEM, paid media), product marketing and go-to-market strategies, partnerships or ecosystem marketing, sustainability communication, and performance analytics.
