Working at Lightyear is a unique experience. You get the opportunity to work for a company with a pure and meaningful mission. A mission that will make a positive and lasting impact on future generations.

What will you do as Electrical Engineer - Integration and Verification?
You will become part of Lightyear’s electrical engineering domain, in the team of I&V (integration and verification). Together with your teammates, you'll work on integrating electrical components that have been bought or designed in-house into test setups and prototype vehicles.

In the role of Electrical Engineer - Integration and Verification, you will be responsible for being the bridge between engineering, who know how to design stuff, and testing, who know how to verify if the design meets the requirements. You are able to understand the details our engineers talk about and like to do practical work. Once you have integrated various electrical components in a prototype vehicle or test setup, you know how to operate it and will support the test engineers to perform testing.

While integrating electrical components and verifying that the system is operational is your prime focus, your role isn’t limited to these framed tasks and responsibilities:

  • Check on (electrical) integration feasibility
  • Take part in design reviews
  •  Install electrical components in test benches, prototypes, etc, according to the documentation of the product and the system architecture.
  • Identify possible issues for assembly, functionality, performance, etc.
  • Take part in finding solutions for possible issues for assembly, functionality, performance, etc.
  • Perform minimal/basic testing
  • Review design of test setups
  • Guide manufacturing

Did we trigger your curiosity while reading through your future role? Let’s see if you have what it takes!
