You might wonder what a day as a Design Studio Engineer at Lightyear looks like?
You will start the day with a check-in with the HVS core team. This consists of key people in the project that together define and decide on how to move it forward. You share what you have been doing yesterday and what you will be working on for today.
After you have a meeting with the design studio to discuss proposals to improve the B-pillar. You have collected all demands from stakeholders and want to share these with the designers. Together you go through the demands and discuss how to apply them without touching what is important for styling.
You have lunch with the team in the Helmond office. Then with the BiW and Vehicle Architect, and the Chief Design, you gather around a seating buck that is present in the office. You discuss issues with the pedal box and steering column using VR and try to come up with solutions.
The rest of the day you take to work on tasks that you have planned. At the end of the day, you share quick snapshots with the team to communicate your status, and some solved topics.
Key stakeholders will be people from the Design Studio, Vehicle Architect, System Architects, DMU/Package engineers, homologation experts, Safety Manager, and Chief of Design.
